Jim Griffith
Executive Consultant

Jim Griffith is a member of the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Engineering and Computer Science Visiting Committee and has served as a Board Member for Eastern Michigan University’s College of Technology. He also served on the President’s Advisory Council for both the Georgia Institute of Technology and Florida A & M University. Mr. Griffith is a member of the Detroit Economic Club, the American Management Association, the Michigan Jobs Commission Business Round Table, the Michigan Automotive Partnership and the Greater Detroit & Windsor Japan-America Society, as well as the Society of Automotive Engineers and the Society of Plastics Engineers. Mr. Griffith sat on the Board of Directors for Secat, Inc., a company dedicated to facilitating research and development of innovative technology and products for the aluminum industry.

Jim served in a variety of senior management roles at TTC. Throughout his entire tenure he was responsible for all administrative functions as Vice president of Administration. In addition to his administrative duties, he assumed responsibilities as Vice President of Parts/Materials Engineering and of Advanced Research from 1999-2006.

During Jim’s 15 years at TTC he was instrumental in growing Toyota’s North American R & D operations from 150 team members to over 800 engineers and scientists. Jim has been highly regarded in the supplier community for setting firm expectations to meet strict Toyota standards. At the same time Jim earned a reputation for treating suppliers fairly and encouraging a collaborative relationship.
